Sunday Mornings

Please check back periodically as we are evaluating regularly the start-up of many programs. Thank you!

Sunday mornings are filled with energy, grace, praise, prayer, education, and welcome to all people.

During the school year, from August through May, three distinctly different styles of worship are offered each Sunday to ensure you experience the fullness of the good news of Jesus Christ. We also offer chances for fellowship, child and adult education classes, and opportunities for hands-on mission. Here's what a Sunday at First Pres might look like:

8:15 – Chapel Worship Service

Join us in the Tree of Life Chapel for this half hour service of word, meditation, and music.
Communion will be offered the first Sunday of the month.

9:00 - Adult Education: Lecture Series

This class is geared for adults interested in learning about matters of the faith from top scholars in our region. Professors from Wash U., SLU, Eden Seminary, as well as experts in their fields provide stimulating insights to encourage us in our understanding of various aspects of the faith.

9:05 – Arise! Praise Service

This contemporary worship experience is held in our Fellowship Hall and features music by the Praise Team, multi media presentations, scripture, message, and prayer. This 55-minute service is a relaxed worship experience where coffee and casual attire are welcome.

10:00 - Education for Children and Adults

This is our 'Sunday School' hour, with multiple offerings throughout the building for children and adults. This is also the time when we do hands-on congregational mission activities.

11:00 – Traditional Service

This one hour service features music by the Chancel Choir, Bell Choirs, our magnificent Casavant Pipe Organ, the Word of God preached and proclaimed in our beautiful sanctuary.

Children are ALWAYS welcome in worship.

Children's bulletins or packets are available at each of our services.
09/2021 - At this time our church is choosing to focus on keeping our youngest members safe. With that in mind our nursery will remain closed until we are more comfortable with vaccine options for children under the age of five.
