ON-GOING SERIES

Spirituality Class ~ Room 011

This group explores the ancient practices of lectio divina - a way of praying with scripture that calls one to study, ponder, listen and, finally, pray and even sing and rejoice from God's Word, within the soul. The class also practices other forms of sacred scripture study and prayer in a relaxed and welcoming environment.  All are welcome to attend the class.

Discussing Faith in Today's World ~ Room 029

This informal, discussion-based Bible study explores the biblical image of balance as a broad concept that includes fairness, equality, righteousness and justice as well as internal balance, or the well-integrated life. These images tap into the young adult issues of how to live in a way that “takes care of business” and still allows one to be a whole person; of concern for fair and just treatment, how to balance competing pressures and demands on time, energy and soul; of how to have a devotional life in the midst of the daily grind; etc.”  To learn more about this group, please contact sarahlynn@lesterboal.net.

Fireplace Room Series ~ Room 030

A discusion series focused on topics regarding where faith intersects daily life.

Sundays, September 12-26
